This will be their fifth outdoor club tournament having finished sixth in Trophy I in both 2019 and 2023 and then ended second in Trophy II in 2021 and fourth in 2024.

Their long list of registered players has a number of fascinating inclusions with former KHC Dragons man Max Luyten and ex-Uhlenhorst Mülheim player Nick Werner having played in the EHL.
Hungary’s Zsigmond Szóga has scored many goals Epitok in Euro club action over the past few years. Goalkeeper António Camacho heads up their local talent along with the likes of Marc Castells and Luís Silva.
HK Zelina (CRO)
HK Zelina has won the Croatian Outdoor Championship seven times and has been one of the most successful Croatian hockey clubs for many years.
The team is built around a young and talented squad, strengthened by experienced international players Bohdan Kovalenko from Ukraine and Sasha Lykov from Russia, who have both been important members of the club for several years. Their experience and quality play a big role in the development of the younger players.
Among the key young domestic players are Mario Ilinović, Ivan Šoić, Mihael Posavec, Bruno Hrupec and goalkeeper Željko Ruga, who all make an important contribution to the team with their performances and dedication.

Team coach Damir Hrupec said: “We have a young team with a great desire to win, and we hope to achieve the best possible result.”
HK Zelina is well known for developing young players and creating a strong hockey environment. The combination of youth and experience makes this team exciting for hockey fans to watch.
HK Zelina finished the 2025/26 indoor season as Croatian champions. The outdoor season is still ongoing, and the team is currently in first place in the national league standings.
Pool B
HC Bra (ITA)
HC Bra is one of the most dominant and successful field hockey clubs in Italy and a growing force in European competitions. Based in Bra, the club has built its reputation on a winning mentality, consistency, and an exceptional culture of hard work.
In recent years, the club has confirmed its elite status with an extraordinary run of success across both national and international tournaments, demonstrating an unrelenting hunger for victory and continuous improvement becoming the most winning side in history in Italy.

It includes 11 outdoor championships, eight Coppa Italias – including the 2025 and 2026 title – along with 10 indoor titles of which they are back-to-back winners. On the European front, they are going for a fourth gold having won the Indoor Challenge I in 2013 and 2026 as well as the outdoor Club Challenge I in Poland in 2019.
Alongside these victories, the club has made various appearances in the Euro Hockey League (EHL), competing against Europe’s top teams.
A key part of HC Bra’s continued success lies in the quality and leadership within the squad. The team benefits from the speed, creativity, and tactical influence of Ukrainian player-coach Andrii Koshelenko, whose dynamic style adds an extra edge in both domestic and European competitions.
Complementing this is the experience and foxy skills of New Zealand international Priyesh Bhana, whose high-level background brings leadership and stability to the group. With many current and ex Italian national team players continuously performing on this high level in all lines.
What defines HC Bra is not just the number of trophies, but the mentality behind them. The team consistently brings passion, discipline, and determination to every training session and match. Their ability to dominate both outdoor and indoor hockey highlights their versatility and depth.
They are currently in first position in the Italian Elite National Championship 2025/26. Last year, they won the Serie A title, Italian Super Coppa, Italian Indoor National Title and EuroHockey Indoor Club Challenge I Men 2026 in Sofia being the only team in all of Europe on all levels unbeaten at any indoor European Tournament.
Grasshopper Club Zürich (SUI)
The Zurich club, in 2023/24, managed to win its first Swiss Championship in the last 28 years. It was a huge milestone that finally rewarded all the effort and energy the club had put into it.
With that came the first participation at the EHL in the fall of 2024 where the team narrowly missed out on a first round win against MHC Lille. The team is still very much the same since then, now led by the captain and former Hamburger Polo Club player Timon Unger who controls the game from the midfield.
Their most experienced player at the highest level is Nahuel Salis, who is a former Argentine international and was an integral part of the squad at the Olympics in Tokyo.
The club icon Roman Richner, who is the longest serving member of the team and the best player the club has produced in the last 25 years, is the calming force in defense.

The Kiwi, Craig Turner, is currently in great form, coming in clutch with goals and decisive moments in the league. With eight goals to his name in the current season, he is only behind drag flicker Pascal Gremlich who tops the list with 13 goals.
Gremlich was also part of the Switzerland squad that participated at U21 World Cup in India 2025. Oliver Haberthür is the first and so far, only goalscorer of the club at the EHL, and with a goal in Rome, will have scored in the top three European Club competitions.
In goal, the safe pair of hands is Philip Nitsch, who is a young and ambitious goalkeeper, with international experience for Switzerland, including scoring a goal. Ben Eddy has recently become part of the England Masters squad and is looking to continue his impressive career on the hockey pitch. They are currently secord in the national league.
Slagelse (DEN)
Slagelse Hockey Club reclaimed the cup title this season and currently leads the Danish league, hoping to regain the Danish Championship in June. The club has a long history of championship titles and is a regular participant in European competitions, both indoor and outdoor.
This time, Slagelse fields a very young squad. Despite an average age of just over 22 years, several key players have already competed in multiple European Cups and international matches, bringing valuable international experience to the team.

Among the more experienced players are Oscar Birch-Hald, Nicolai Moll, and Markus Hansen, while young talents such as Lucas Sørensen, Julius Arnborg, and Axel Refnov are taking part for the first time.
Captain Rasmus Westrup says of their chances: “The team is looking forward to another exciting tournament and will do everything possible to remain at this level — although everyone knows it will require a special effort.”
Selçuklu Belediye SK (TUR)
Selçuklu Belediye SK are new to European club hockey this season with the Konya stepping in to replace NEBE, last year’s Turkish champions who withdrew this season..
Belediye finished in third place in last year’s championship and they recently reached the final of the Turkish men’s championship, finishing as runners-up to Volkan Sports Group in a 4-3 thriller. Sait Can Kalkan won the “Best Player” award, and Mehmet Aydın won the “Top Scorer” award.
Kalkan and Muhammed Efe were part of the Nevşehir Belediyesi SK side that swept to gold last year in the Challenge I competition, finishing off with a 10-0 win over Vinnitsa.
Otherwise, their panel is largely a new look one who will be experiencing their first tastes of European club outdoor hockey.
