Hall of Fame Class of 2025 to be announced at EuroHockey Championships in August

Celebrating the legends of our sport, the latest additions to the EuroHockey Hall of Fame are set to be announced at next August’s EuroHockey Championships.

The Hall of Fame is our way of honouring and highlighting some of the most significant figures in European hockey, the game-changers who consistently displayed high levels of sportsmanship and made a deep and meaningful impact in hockey on and off the pitch.

Inaugurated in 2013, the Hall of Fame has inducted 14 members to date which will grow this summer in Mönchengladbach.

This year, the decision on who will form the “class of 2025” will be made by a committee including EuroHockey President Marcos Hofmann and Vice Presidents Inez Cooper and Walter Kapounek.

They will receive vital input from external advisor Marc Lammers (pictured above with Marcos Hofmann), a two-time EuroHockey Championship winning coach with the Netherlands in addition to Olympic and World Cup gold.

In addition, he had successful stints as national coach in both Spain and Belgium, winning a breakthrough silver with the Red Lions side in 2013.

Eligibility for the Hall of Fame is open to any athlete who has competed in a EuroHockey Championship since its inception.

The announcement of the latest inductees to the Hall of Fame will be revealed in advance of the EuroHockey Championships with the formal induction taking place during the tournament.
