UN SDG 5 Gender Balance
Programme Overview
The Inclusion Charter strongly supports SDG 5 by committing to gender equality at all levels of hockey. EuroHockey has worked to increase female participation, representation in leadership roles, and equal competition opportunities.
Efforts include promoting women’s hockey competitions, leadership pathways, and visibility campaigns. Future priorities include closing gender gaps in coaching and governance, improving equal pay and resources, and addressing barriers to female participation.
By embedding equality into policy and practice, EuroHockey ensures hockey is a sport where all genders have equal rights, opportunities, and visibility, contributing to broader societal progress on gender equality.
